Ingredients
- 750g crab, cleaned and cut
- 3 tbsp Manakkadu Fish Curry Masala
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 8 shallots
- 1.5 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 2 tbsp grated coconut (optional)
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 3 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
Method
Step 1: Saute
Heat oil, add fennel and curry leaves. Add onions and shallots; saute golden.
Step 2: Aromatics
Add ginger-garlic paste, then tomatoes; cook till soft.
Step 3: Masala
Add Manakkadu Fish Curry Masala and salt; saute till oil separates.
Step 4: Add crab
Add crab pieces and toss well in the masala for 5 minutes.
Step 5: Simmer
Add water (and coconut paste if using). Cover and cook 18-20 minutes until crab is done and gravy thickens.
Step 6: Garnish
Finish with coriander and serve hot.
