Ingredients
- 4 king fish (vanjaram) slices
- 2 tbsp Manakkadu Fish Curry Masala
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp rice flour (for crispiness)
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for shallow frying
Method
Step 1: Make the marinade
Mix Manakkadu Fish Curry Masala, chilli powder, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, rice flour and salt with a little water into a thick paste.
Step 2: Marinate
Coat the fish slices well and rest for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
Step 3: Heat the pan
Heat oil in a flat pan for shallow frying. Add curry leaves.
Step 4: Fry
Place fish carefully and fry on medium flame 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
Step 5: Drain & serve
Remove onto a tissue, squeeze fresh lemon and serve hot.
